Seattle prides itself in being welcoming to all. The venues and experiences highlighted below offer sensory-inclusive performances, events, and activities for visitors to enjoy. Please contact the attractions and organizations directly for details on their offerings.

 

 

Sensory-Friendly Performances

The 5th Avenue Theatre

Enjoy sensory-inclusive performances created for children and adults on the autism spectrum and individuals with other sensitivity issues or disabilities. The setting includes sensory breaks with specially trained volunteers to provide audience support.

The ACT Theatre offers sensory-friendly performances, which include lights on during the performance, free movement between seats, permission to use electronic devices, and sensory-friendly snacks. A reduced-stimulation room, sensory bags, and social narratives are also available.

Pacific Northwest Ballet

Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP)

Sensory-friendly programs at the Museum of Pop Culture offer access to the museum when it is closed to the general public, advanced notice of what to expect during your visit, lowered sound and lighting in galleries and Sky Church, and access to museum galleries.

The Museum of Flight

The Museum of Flight

Visitors with sensory needs can enjoy free early access to The Museum of Flight with Sensory Days. Enjoy access to the museum during off-hours and explore the galleries with adjusted light and sound. To enhance the experience, hands-on, family activities are also be provided.

Sensory Bags

Seattle Aquarium

The Seattle Aquarium has partnered with KultureCity to improve its ability to assist guests with sensory needs. Sensory bags and weighted lap pads are available for checkout at their Guest Services desk on Pier 59 or in Ocean Pavilion.

Sensory Lounges

Pacific Science Center

The Sensory Lounge at the Pacific Science Center is located in Building 2 and provides a calm space for guests to decompress, regroup, and engage their brains in new ways.

Lumen Field

Lumen Field has Ben’s Sensory Room for fans with autism, sensory challenges or PTSD who may be feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated. The sensory room, which is located at the SW Guest Services Location in the Olympic Hall, will be open for all full stadium events. Children using the room must be accompanied by an adult.
